The new Ebay logo. What you think?....

New eBay Logo | StockLogos.com I know that a rebrand of such a high profile company is a tough job, but have they done enough with this you think? Everyone seems to be jumping on the same bandwagon at the moment.

    Ethics in graphic design

I would think it would go without saying that any like minded person would reject work that involves child pornography. Not only would it be morally wrong it would be illegal!

    Ethics in graphic design

Would you work for a massive corporation even if you didn't agree with their business, if the money was right? Yes I would. However there are obviously going to be exceptions to that rule. In my opinion we are asked to provide work for the business, we don't have to agree with it and we aren't...

    Quoting for a magazine

    Quoting for a magazine

No problem. I think the thing with magazines is that things can go wrong that aren't your fault but you still end up getting blamed for them! Just got to keep on top of it.

    Quoting for a magazine

It depends on what sort of publication it is. Does it rely on heavy body text or is it mainly pictorial? Will it require a lot of typographical changes? You say that they will be supplying images but that doesn't mean they can slot straight into the layout so if it is pictorial you have to...

    Strongbow Rebrand

I'd agree with you about the re-jig. Make sure that its clear some of the work on the landing page is not yours otherwise you could find yourself in a sticky situation. I see that you've credited it on the other pages but the landing page gives the impression it's your work.

Portfolio Critique / Tips and help needed

Everything Paul said. It's a bit too busy for my liking. I'd try and get a bit if consistency in there as well. It's worth taking a look at other designers sites and get an idea of how to do things. No-one is good enough that they have nothing left to learn. I'm giving my website an overhaul now...

    Copyright Question

I agree Dave. But the thing I would say is that you have to be 100% sure that you are abiding by their terms because if you don't and they don't like it then you have got a problem. I usually don't touch other peoples images unless I have got written consent to do so using it in the manner I've...

    Copyright Question

If you're unsure its always best to leave it out. Could be costly unless you have permission.

    Mind Blanks...what do you do?

I agree with everyone above. Also, it's going slightly in a different direction, but I think I said to someone on here before that sometimes the first idea that comes into your head may seem brilliant but when you have time to think things over, other ideas come into the thought process and the...

Price has no bearing on logos

I agree Tony. After it was announced there were quite a few better variations, and I think that if they had the chance to change the logo they would. But it is what it is and I really don't mind it. There are a lot worse around....
