Print Carrier = Problems!

Why Why Why is everyone so intent on sending money out of the UK economy by using offshore printers?

We work with many UK printers who are able to offer the right prices and the right service!

If anyone is thinking of reselling print, use someone in the UK like me or someone like Stationery Direct who has a good reputation! You can pick up the phone and speak to the right person who knows all about your order.

We can offer great prices and more importantly, superb service!

Not the best compay to use for print managment services - has anyone had the 270% ink coverage excuse yet?
Beyond belief.

I have taken a new online franchise and have been shocked at the diffrence in quality and I advise anyone to take a look at our new website and see the prices for online print - real good value and you can call me to discuss anything you think you may have problems with production/time scale wise.

Why Why Why is everyone so intent on sending money out of the UK economy by using offshore printers?!!

This is something that really bugs me (as a UK based printer). Yes, you can get it cheap but the real cost will be the slow destruction of the UK print trade - loss of people with real knowledge and skills. Do try and back your local printers or UK printers!!

It also means that everything is printed on 150gsm gloss art - I'm getting bored with it!!

Print Carrier is very cheap on the low quality jobs... I guess it depends what you're looking for - personally I'd stay clear!

Has anyone had the 270% coverage cop out from print carrier - more to do with drying times from the press to the guilly.

Would love to hear of there wide and varied excuses, post them and let compare notes.

Not heard that excuse PrinterPeople but a client of mine (a now EX Print Carrier client) told me a belter.

"I'm sorry that your leaflets where not folded this process was not carried out as you stated you needed your marketing material on a specific date and we didn't have time to fold them and deliver within the require deadline"

Absolutely classic.

If I order a Folded leaflet I want a folded leaflet not a flyer.....

By the way, I do quality printing and cost effective prices not bargain basement rubbish.

Print Carrier problems

Hi there, many of our new clients have come to us recently as a result of experiencing similar problems with Print Carrier.

PC

I think the Ash cloud has caught out alot of people as anything from Germany got delayed big time last month - how may calls have I had asking me to print this and that urgently - onlyto glad to help out LOL.

Check out a proper company - www.printerpeople.biz

Your due a problem soon, only a matter of time.

Look out for:

Ink coverage - offset
Poor cutting
lost parcels - tracking numbers
Jobs sitting in a que and never going to press
Late delivery - all you get is the price of express delivery back

Customer service will jump to the top of your priority's when thay let you down - its not great.

For business cards look at this link and compare quality/price/customer service to PC: Laminated Business Cards > Business Cards > Home > The Online Print Company

there must be something in this then!

Given so many negative responses there must be genuine issues with PCarrier then. I shall count myself lucky then. Going overseas though, as someone said, is not intrinsically a dangerous move...books are printed in Far east and China/S'apore etc as quality is better/price is better and timings are better.

No I am not!

You're so wrong!

By all means come up with some names of good English based book printers of long run (1,000+) books, case bound, at a reasonable price....
if you require a specific specification to quote on i can provide.....

Book printing is highly specialised and not UK based.....but by all means prove me wrong!

Print Carrier is just a print reseller, they don't even own their own press.
Because they are active around Europe they cant control the quality.

I used to use them before i set up my own print shop and had loads of problems with them.
