Tracking Pixel

Hey all ... I need to make a tracking pixel.. I know its a 1px by 1px square.. but what else do i need to do? I know a stupid noob question but need to sort this out today

It's just a 1 by 1 pixel transparent gif (commonly referred to as a spacer). And wherever you put that invisible pixel, whoever wants to view the page, has to download the spacer. With some analytics you can track who has downloaded it the pixel.

At least I think that's how it works. I've only read/heard about it.

I think you just have to check analytics of the pixels downloads and other such stuff.

yeah its the analytics stuff I need to work out strange really.. its usually supplied by the supplier .. not by us.

I think I cracked it .. using our adserver .. it has a way of tracking through an external source.. hopefully that will work.. well i'll soon see i'm sure
