HELP! with 2 questions

#1
Hey there just wondering if anyone could answer these 2 questions?

1. Why is it important for a graphic designer to understand the additive and subractive models of colour?

2. Explain the following terms with reference to CMYK & RGB: Colour gamut and Colour space

If anyone can help it would be most appreciated :icon_notworthy:

To answer No 2:

Colour Gamut...is the range of colours that a device such as a printer or monitor can produce.

Colour Space...RGB colour space/mode is used for design for web and CMYK colour space/mode for design for full colour printing.

The following link may help a bit if you don't know the difference between RGB & CMYK:
