What Scanner Resolution For 4K Work?

Hello!

I have just purchased a Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 which has 4K resolution. Now, I need to get an A3 scanner to scan sketches, drawings and inked comic panels in order to continue working on them on my Cintiq, colouring them etc. But I'm not really sure what resolution I should be looking for. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

I rarely scan at more than 600dpi. You'll be quite limited with finding machines that will scan at A3, especially if you want a flat bed. It's quite easy to stitch together two A4's in Photoshop etc.
You can't go far wrong with any Canon or Epson.

With purely full sheet a3 scans 600 dpi is most likely the best choice, it's 72 Million pixels which will make most computers struggle imo. Having the option for higher won't hurt, just adjust the scanning resolution and will allow the option to scan smaller things in higher resolution.
