THE ROLE
This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic Junior Web Designer to join a vibrant and creative team of skilled Designers and Developers at Printer Pix.
This position requires a developer, capable of participating in all aspects of the website development lifecycle.
The position will require you to create inspired, clean and user friendly interfaces for web and occasionally for mobile. You will be involved across arrange of design processes working closely with our designers, developers and creative director from idea creation, through mock ups and final delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ongoing development of our website and emailing marketing material including graphic design and optimization, web usability, and interface design
• Assisting with the production of offline marketing materials to include; printed materials, brochures, media, packaging, and e-commerce marketing
• Working closely with our Marketing team in the design and production of online graphics and print collaterals, and to ensure that current marketing campaigns are accurately reflected on our website.
• Adapt, design, build and code web assets including home pages and category banners
• Accountable for building and sending emails, testing and sign off before send.
• Design, build, code and test email newsletters
• Work with fellow web designers to contribute and implement usability best practice in site navigation and emails across device (desktop, mobiles, tablet)
• Adapt design and oversee the build of seasonal skin updates
• Adapt and design brand assets such as affiliate banners and holding pages
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
• Some of the skills for you will have a basic knowledge understanding of HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, WordPress, SEO, Responsive Design, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Sublime’ Text2, ASP.Net
• Design for mobile devices
• Ability to interpret a written brief and lake direction
• Creative portfolio, conceptual and typographic skills
• Rich media banners, animation (GIF/Flash)
• An understanding of accessibility principles, UX best practices and cross browser compatibility
•Keep up to date with the industry’s trends and standards, latest tools and preferred practices
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree in Web Design or equivalent
