Vet website for critique please

Hello. I designed this website after doing a night class in website design and think that it looks quite professional, but I would like to know what everyone else thinks and if it can be improved at all. I am quite good at art and computers, so hopefully this shows. :)

I like it. The code is good for a few night classes as well. One tiny crit is that the yellow background makes my eyes bleed. :icon_eek:
 
Agree about the yellow!
Was it really handcoded after a night class - or was it done on the 1and1 sitemaker?
 
I designed it with image and colour but did not hand code it. If you could give a visual critique I would appreciate it a lot.
