Stage 2 Design Visual Study Help Needed!!

Hi :) My name is Thomas and I am currently studying stage 2 design and for my visual study, I am investigating the question, 'What graphics techniques/processes are employed to produce a successful graphical design piece?' I have a few questions that I have formed and I would really appreciate if I could have some help. My questions are:
1. Is there a specific set of steps which you follow when developing a piece of artwork? If so, what are they?

2. What technology do you employ to achieve a visually appealing photo?

3. Do you work with any particular colour scheme?

4. What is your preferred type of media to use when creating a design?

5. Do you employ any type of shading/colouring techniques in your works? If so, what are they?

6. Do you have any additional information about how to produce a successful piece of design work?

7. What would you recommend when designing a piece of artwork?

8. Do you have any examples of your work?

I think you should reword your questions a little, it's not really clear what you want to know.

A 'graphical design piece' is a broad term and could relate to a number of sub-fields of design, and not all of these questions are directly relevant to the fields. Question 7 is so open-ended I wouldn't even know where to start with trying to answer it.

Also, 'artwork' typically refers to print-ready files, where as your use seems to refer to the final design piece as a whole. If you're producing artwork, you're basically taking a design and making it so a printer can print it, or a web-developer can build it. Be careful with your terminology or you may find you're getting the wrong answers to your questions.
