Photoshop retro effect

Hello friends, I have a quick question. I need to recreate a rustic metal effect on photos, like the attached one. But I want my original photo to be still visible in the background.

Does anyone know is it possible?

You say rustic metal effect - yet your images are torn burnt effects.

Thanks, dear hankscorpio. I appreciate your recommendation. Actually, I wanted both the metallic and burnt effect simultaneously, but my rustic metal photo example was too large and didn't upload and didn't notice it.

Now I changed my mind and I think the burnt effect alone would be much better.
