Apologies for that(the lack of posting!).

I'm completely self-taught. Ive only recently started charging for work and ive earned a bit of pocket money over the last 6 months so to speak for the work ive been doing. I'd really to gain employment in the Industry but im not sure how or if i can do it.
College/Uni isnt an option at present due to other commitments. But what i lack in qualifications i make up for in pure passion for design and the urge to keep on progressing with my skills.
So, i guess im asking for advice on that.

Just to state, im 30 years old and not getting any younger!

And i'd also love to get some feedback on my work....

Thanks

Im self taught too and no where near this standard but I like to look and comment for what its worth!!

I think your work is great for being self taught and your style is nice too!

I think it lacks continuity of brand Identity... and could be imporved by uniting your launch page and made website by using the same logo, bg, colour scheme etc? The work its self is lovely! x

Hi there,

I was starting to think that no one liked me:icon_biggrin: I think may have been the first to read my post.

And also thanks for the kind words. Its my passion to be honest. I know what you mean the web. I keep meaning to give it an overhaul but its so time consuming and the day jobs manic at the moment.

Just been working on this one of my uncle back in his mod days.

Id love to see some of your work:icon_notworthy:

Your work reminds me a lot of Julian Opie's work, with more texture.
Are you freelancing currently?

Hi there Tony,

Thanks for the comment and i'll also take the Julian Opie comparison as a compliment although ive never took influence from his work.

I do love to use textures. I feel it gives art a finishing touch. And although i do love clean vector art i never seem to able to resist to give it a little 'grunge' or 'distressed' feel to it to finish it off. Even if only a little sometimes.

I am currently freelancing yes. Its very difficult though, as not having worked in the industry im struggling of ways to market myself in a very competetive industry. But one day i will do this full time. Its my passion and i will not stop until i do! There you have it:icon_thumbup::icon_biggrin:

Thanks again,

Craig
