I think the keyword there is 'realistically', it is a walking city after all.

The illustrations gothic overtures are so fitting for this time of season, it's like a snapshot of an unknown adult Christmas tale. Would've liked a greater sense of motion from the legs but other than that it's a fantastic piece.

Thanks very much. I am historically pretty terrible with colour, so keeping it subdued helps.

Thanks for your comment. I think it's one of those things where I have a very clear narrative in mind - in this case the city is ponderous, maybe taking a generation to cross a valley. Maybe that would become clear with some text (there's a short story in there somewhere).
