Hi people,

First of all sorry for my bad english, I'm not a native speaker.
I'm a hobby graphic designer and was wondering if anyone is nice enough to give me some tips/instructions on how to make a backgound similar to the one here:

So not the whole image, just that orange/blue background.

Start off with some sort of space image

Then insert some sort of lava type image behind it.

On the space image, make a mask in the shape that you want - and that will show the lava behind it.

There's no correct technique - but there's plenty of tutorials.
