The only potential issue can see you might have is if you are using specially coated inkjet papers, because of the much higher temperatures in laser printers, that coating can melt and at best ruin your work and at worst, make a right mess inside your laser printer. Print on inkjet on good uncoated stock, and you should be fine. Alternatively a laser-safe coated stock should be ok in an inkjet, if the ink takes to it. If you want a shinier finish, you could try a high speed stick, which has a sheen due to being rolled through heavy rollers, rather than having a coating.
