How can we draw a shape of leaf in Indesign document? I try with the creation tool but it didn't work.

InDesign doesn't have a creation tool - are you talking about the Pen tool?

Personally I'd do this in Adobe Illustrator and then place the AI file into InDesign.

I'd agree with John, Illustrator is definitely the best programme for this kind of thing. However, assuming you don't have access to it you can create a simple leaf shape (more of an icon in this case) with a few simple tools in InDesign. Create some overlapping circles and then use the 'Intersect' pathfinder option to create the main leaf shape. Simply add some intersecting lines with the line segment tool to make up the rest of the leaf. You can always adjust some of the anchor points with the direct selection tool to create a more 'leaf' like shape. Or you could just use the Pen tool and plot out a leaf shape by plotting points - you could even use a reference image to trace.
