I'm trying to print some stuff out at home (reduce costs) when I print it, its completely a different colour, I understand that its not going to be exactly the same as on screen, as my screen isn't calibrated, but Teal turns into Blue.

on InDesign - and Acrobat they have something called colour profiles,
attached two screen shots, might help.

You can play around for a long time with colour profiles and it is a pain!

Can you choose the colour mode in either of the programs that you are using? i.e. RGB or CMYK.

If you can choose CMYK and that may help.

You'll never get an exact match as your screen is RGB and printer will be CMYK.

Lastly, print out a range of one colour (e.g. dark to light blues) and then see which looks the closest to what you want when you print them out.

Tony, Thanks mate.

Ill print out a range of colours see which one matches.

Both are converted into cmyk, (pdf)

No desktop laser printer will beat professional printing...and saving money means that you might not be able to match the colour exactly...
