How to write a CV?

Hello
Its been a while since I last updated my CV, I've started writing about my experiences/ clients and have written a little about some of the projects I have enjoyed the most in a project/solution/result format.
I have done a little charitable work for nothing for the purpose of getting my name out there. How should I word this? Charity work?
