How do I merge two styles of fonts?

Hi, I have created two styles of fonts in Calligraphr, but I want to merge the two into the same font with one being a Bold version of the original font. After looking at some information online, I am still flummoxed by this and I hope someone can answer my question here.

Thanks,

Eliot

I think as long as the Family name is identical and then you have different styles like bold/regular etc. then the system matches them automatically.

The user downloads both fonts or just 1 or even 175 fonts - as long as they are the same family name - it should automatically be read by the system and you then select the Family name - which then offers the different styles in the sub selection side - if that makes sense.

OK, I'm building the font currently in Calligraphr, and it is the same name, so I'm wondering what's wrong with it?

You can use FontForge (or a Similar Tool). Import the bold version as a separate style within the same font file by assigning the bold weight to the imported glyphs.
