Hey,

I have a quick one here; are Google Places random? If not, how are they generated?

For example, if I google "Graphic Design Yeovil" I get a list of businesses which also show up on maps using (a) (b) (c) etc, yet my business isn't actually part of this list, but does show up on maps. I'm fully aware that it would be impossible for Google to list all of the businesses, so is there a way of getting on there?

You need to add your business into the google business directory, with a little bit of seo you will start to appear on google places. Also don't forget reviews is what will boost you higher.

I have recently set up my t shirt printing business and added it into the West Midlands and Wolverhampton googles local maps. Got my customers to review my t shirt print services and after a few months I have started to appear for certain searches locally.

We've recently set up on Google Places for our printing company in Cheltenham - Great for SEO purposes and generating new business.

https://www.google.com/business/ - Hit the 'start now key' and input your data.

After 1-2 weeks you'll recieve a code via post, simply type that in and you'll be live on Google Places
