Feedback on my logo concept

Hi Everyone

Please see images of my first logo concept for a local childminding business.

I have been asked to design a logo, basicially they client liked script type fonts and wanted to go down the route of poppins/mary poppins. Neutral colour and simple colour pallete.

Looking good to me. I just wonder if the brolly could point directly right?

I think Childminding is a bit small. It could easily go the length of Poppins underneath, in spaced out caps?
Never looks right in u/l case to me.

I like it, 'childminding' is way too small though. Also, I feel like it should be Poppins' with an apostrophe but that's on the client.

I've only just realised it's an umbrella!

I thought it was some sort of knuckle duster.

As an aside, there are a whole load of 'poppins' cafes and restaurants. So you need to make the 'Childminding a lot more prominent so it's obvious who you are.

Thanks for the advice! Seems like its the Childminding part that needs improvement, I'll get to it!

I like the concept, but the use of colour isn't doing the job for me quite yet.
