Design Influences?

Hi im doing a report paper on psychedelic design and what has influenced it / still does.

As part of it im wanting to find out what my design peers have to say on the subject

So...
What influences you when you are creating pieces of work? This could be anything from social, to environmental and anything in between

thanks for you input
 
the subject inspires me.

i had a client once how want a dominoes league and wanted it presented as a "sports league" and he pointed me to various global footbal leagues. i just drew a blank, dominoes......:icon_biggrin:
