Current Trends in Contemporary Design

Hi everyone!

I have an assessment and really need some feedback on a couple of questions about contemporary Graphic Design for me, thanks!

1) What would you say are a few of the biggest trends in design today?
2) Do you feel any of these trends are overrated?
3) Have you used parts of any modern trends in your own work before?
4) What makes a design stand out from the crowd to you?

Um... aren't these questions 'you're' supposed to be answering, they seem very much focused on individual opinions of the student rather than multiple answers from people on a forum.

Nope it quite specifically asks me to discuss the topic of trends in contemporary graphic design with atleast 3 other industry professionals those are my own questions.
