A question from a colleague of mine that I couldn't answer - what font do the BBC use for their website?

Verdana for the main content.

And gill sans for the logo.

The site looks an awful lot like it's a plone site to me - can anyone confirm?

Gill Sans is the corporate font, one assumes for the (quite smart) reason that Eric Gill created the sculpture of Arial which sits above the door to broadcasting house.

Great sculptor, great typographer but, as we now know, a ferocious pervert.
