Anyone know how I can create an image like this?

[Image provided] first layer is the main image, second layer is like a transparent box with text over the image. Basically I want this sort of transparent look over an image...

you can set the opacity of an image to x% and that'll allow items behind to be picked up.

png file i think? i havent done it in ages.

yeah just input your opacity

right clicking the layer in the layers tab area thingy, and then hitting blending proporties. first dial on cs4 is the opacity button. drag it forwards/backwards, youll see what i mean

mine was at 50-60% i believe

Tim is correct, you can used opacity to do this job but what will the image be eventually used for? Is it for a website?

Yep for a website. I don't need the image to move or anything, just a still image.
