Yeah, we all know this to be true, especially in the world of brands and branding...and now, personal branding that we live in. Recognising something from the first look, helps us familiarize with it and feel comfortable with it. I believe I've read this somewhere as being "preference for prototypes"...So this is how icons get created and kept in popular culture right? This is how we got the Mustang or the British mini or even the coke bottle. Well, nowadays all these icons seem to get updated. new looks can also change perceptions and disturb fmiliarity. Well, my familiarity with the sorrounding environment has just been attacked last night. I "thought" I saw a Jag strolling by. Rainy as it was last night, couldn't see much of it, just a good look at the front, seemed liek a Jag. Youtubed newJag London and I think I've got a lead:

Now looking at the old Jag XJ
it hardly looks anything like it. I loved the old look, it was like a aspirational thing..when I got older, but the new design just messed with that personal balance I had...Keep trying to figure out if I love it or hate it?!?!
