I'm after 500 business cards for a quick turnaround.
This is the type of stock i want on them.
I think it's around 450 GSM
Anyone that can help or give me a quote will be welcomed.
Cheers

My best guess is it's GF Smith stock.

GF Smith

Give them a call. They used to send the swatch out for free, but I think they charge for it now. To be honest it's worth having their swatch as a conversation piece. It's one of the few times you'll consider paper to be sexy.

Some of it though is a pound a sheet, and you can buy in batches of 5 sheets.

I emailed GF Smith, just 2 weeks ago requesting swatches. They sent me a parcel containing everything. great service. can't wait to use them.

Just checked for this stock and it's not n any of the swatches I have.

I'd love to know where to get it.

:)

I love it! I really do think it speaks volume.
and I think it's miles ahead of glossy laminated cards!
It seems everyone has them these days!

So if anyone knows where I can find 500/600 gsm pulp cards to be litho printed
let me know and I will be eternally grateful, believe me I feel like i've looked everywhere
and found no results!

Cheers

Is that stock going to take a digital print? I've not got any experience working with this kind of stock, but I'd imagine that unless you're going to order tonnes of them you'll be looking at a digi print (and all the associated costs of a solo run), so that might be worth considering....

Hi - you've probably got this sorted by now in some way, but for the benefit of yourself and some others reading this thread I decided to clarify a few points.

This spec is not feasible - always decide how a job is going to be printed before you start 'designing' it. The main problem isn't where to get the board - but where/how to get that board printed in cmyk.

If you want to use specialist uncoated stock, particularly if it's a decent thickness (over 400g) the only viable option is foiling/letterpress. So it's back to the drawing board I'm afraid for this one.

GF Smith offer a similar board to this in 540g - the minimum quantity is 25 full sheets @ £48 + vat which would give 1000 b.cards.

Cheers - David
