    Advice on gift card printing

They are much cheaper then I thought - I actually didn't even think of these! haha Suppose I could get some nice cards printed with them for them to be tucked in. By the off chance you wouldn't know what that 'translucent sticky plastic like blobby glue' is that they usually use to stick DVDs...

She has a budget of around £250 for the gift cards and it isn't something she sells a great deal of however she needs to make sure it does look the part. Bare minimum would be 100 / £2.50 a pop - given the gift treatment is worth £25 pounds.

She's a beauty therapist that specialises in hollistics - Everything else is under way but I'm a little stumped about the gift card. I feel a standard printed 250-400gsm...

Joomla, intermittent 500 errors & .htaccess woes

Just spoke to my hosts I do indeed have 512mb of ram available. - After telling the bloke thrice about the memory allocation error he said: Makes sense. I may have turned caching off at some point for doing lots of small updates. I will look into it. CACHE EVERYTHING! - Also do you think...

Joomla, intermittent 500 errors & .htaccess woes

I'm only learning this more complex side of things so bare with me! I'm getting intermittent '500 Internal Server Errors' with my domain frontlinefit.co.uk. - I feel confident that it's a module that's causing it called 'Facebook Graph Connect', could be very wrong though. Simple enough to...

Making the leap from full time job to self employed

I think I have been taken a little too literally! However it's a little naive to think that the situation in question would be 'stealing' or 'freeloading' clients. Clients don't get stolen, they go where the grass is greener or perhaps a different shade of green. Anyway, I completely agree with...

Making the leap from full time job to self employed

That worked out quite well! - Well I went for interviews, had job offers, even worked at agencies for free but I have never quite liked the idea someone making more money out of me than I actually earn. I think I will enjoy the benefits of being a sole trader for the foreseeable future!

Making the leap from full time job to self employed

In regards to your situation I would build some really good relationships with a few of your clients, when you leave take the accounts with you!

Making the leap from full time job to self employed

linziloop, I have done this transition myself. - It was really rough for me and technically it's still not over. I worked in a horrible, shitty retail job where I had the dregs of society barking at me everyday. I snapped had a great deal of (paid) time off due to mental health issues. Went...

    New to Graphic Design

Do you have any current experience with web or graphic design? I never enrolled on a 'design' related course and I'm a completely self taught freelancer - but now I'm 23 and if I had no experience in the field it might have put me off. It's rough starting off, finding the balance between paid...
