A bit of advice

There's no difference in designing a logo for "website" and "print".

Basically what you need is a logo designed.

A logo designer should issue you with different formats for various uses.

It should also come in different colours:

1 colour - this makes it easier to scan/fax/photocopy etc.

1,2,3 colour for various things like limited colour print runs (not full colour) - for example - t-shirt printing, embroidery, 1 colour leaflets (cheaper printing options).

And a full colour CMYK logo.

That's really what you should be expecting from any logo designer.

I don't do a lot of faxing or scan.

What's a colour CMYK logo?

I've sent you an email to [email protected]

I do hope your next experience with a designer is a better one.

Thanks Andy got your quote.

Other people might though, so it's worth ensuring your logo works as a single colour.

What's a colour CMYK logo?

CMYK is used to prefer to printed colours (they are created from a mix of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. Chances are an inexperienced "designer" will provide you with an logo featuring colours that are created from a mix of Red, Green and Blue, which is for use on screen only. An RGB logo when printed won't look the same as it does on screen.

There's an element of variance in colouration whatever the method, but someone who knows what they're doing will ensure your logo and branding are consistent across print and digital formats.

Yep - you can't be sure that someone won't want to photocopy an order form or something similar.

And you may want to cut down on printing costs and only print 1 colour (like blue, or red, or black) for an order form or something.

For those reasons you may need a 1 colour logo.

Then if someone wants to photocopy it you have a better chance of your logo retaining it's clarity.
