Hi everyone,

Please could someone help tell me how the creation of a printed document is done, I have an idea, but not too sure if it is right.

1. Talk with client to see what exactly they are looking for.
2. Copy creation - Client supplies copy or copywriters write copy for job
3. Concept - Do some creative concepts (layouts with placement text) for them to look at to see if they like them.
4. Studio (Production) - When client approves concept (layout) then job is passed to artworker to make the job print ready.

Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

MAA1.

1 - Agree concept
2 - Copy is drafted
3 - Copy is proofed
4 - Copy is signed off ( so important to get this done before putting anything together )
5 - Design is drafted (specifications should be obtained from printers in regards to bleeds doc size etc)
6 - Design is proofed
7 - Design is finalised
8 - Final proof prior to printing
9 - Print
10 - QC sign off

I don't understand what you mean by the bit I've bolded. Could you explain this part to me a bit?
