Hi guys, i've just put up a new Apple inc. news and rumors website:

Eat your Apples

im learning web development and graphic design as i go and since this is my first attempt at a website i'd love some feedback, any tips or ideas for the layout, design or anything else would be brilliant.

Many thanks,
Adrian.

Hi Adrian,

I have just had a look at your site all in all its not a bad first attempt, the first thing that jumped at me though was the content is sitting on the left of my screen where it would look better in the middle.

Other than that design is good and its a very informative site.

Hope this advise helps !

thanks man! im still in the process of styling the site, im using squarespace and cant figure out at the minute how to centre everything as opposed to have it align to the left, any ideas?

many thanks.

Hi Adrian,

Personally I would centre the content using css, there are many sites that off help on this google will help.

Imaginative-Designs.

Thanks i managed to figure it out (bear in mind im a newbie in every sense of the word when it comes to web design/development)

so is there anything you'd change to the site design wise, i want to add a column on the right to make the site seem busier but i don't know what to put into the column, any ideas?

Many many thanks,
Adrian.

Hi, i think it's a good first attempt (apart from the fact that the majority of the content seems to be lifted from 9to5mac).

In terms of the design, I don't think the pale red ribbon effect works very well...after a few posts it begin to look repetitive and I feel that are more refined ways of using a graphic element to introduce each post.
