Interview

Hi All,

I have an interview with a established charity. They want me to do a design task after first stage of interview. Has anyone else ever done a design task like that? They have sent me their brand ID and asked me look at it.

Thank you

The task will come on friday. Is it ok i post here to ask your opinion on what the brief means? Sometimes i feel when brief is written without the option of asking questions from the client i get a bit frazzled and overthink things and then go on self destruct lol.

Seems to be a popular way to see if you're capable. It can also be used to garner design ideas through a faux interview process.

Do the task and see if you get the job.
Or don't do it and don't get the job.

It's up to you.

I think asking us to explain the brief to you would be defeating the object a bit - you need to do the task yourself to the best of your ability, and that includes reading through the brief
and understanding what is being asked. If you have any queries then maybe the answer is in the brand id you've been give. Or maybe it will be elsewhere on their web pages etc, so
just make sure you do your homework. Otherwise, if it's a very loose brief then they want to see how creative you are, simple as that.

Yes, very true. I will go through the Brand ID in detail to be prepared. Thank you guys!
