In dire need of guidance

Hi guys! I have been looking for freelance opportunities, but I cannot find a place to start and showcase my work and talent. I am an architecture student, I know how to use photoshop, illustrator, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, and I can also sketch out excellent architectural graphics. I want to earn something for myself but starting up and getting the hang of it is hard. Can you help me out with this?

I think we need a bit more information to start with. Are you wanting to become an architectural illustrator or is it just something to make a bit of cash while you study?

I want to see some of the work you produce, it's all very well saying you're good at something but that isn't necessarily the case when others look at it.

I am exploring the mediums rn, it's better to make some extra cash while I'm at it.

This is some of the work that is available rn, I'm open to constructive criticism

As wardy said, I'm sorry but it's not that good and isn't ready for professional freelance work imo.

Just from a quick look I can see the perspective is wrong, actually looking at it I'm not even sure you've been correctly taught how to draw in perspective (I work in 3D design day in day out) and the line work is fairly rudementary. While it looks like you're trying to emulate Escher's work it still followed the correct principles of perspective.

I like them.I know there are things wrong.

I love the red one - very dramatic.

Why not get some printed locally, poster packed, canvas, etc. and try sell locally or in a local store?

One of my favourite artists at the moment https://www.johnfrazerprints.com/

No reason why you can't do similar.

These are orientable sketches with multiple perspective points which match the narrative with what I was working on. Although I will check in with the perspectives again. Thank you! :)

Well, we all started like that - I was doing sketches like that when I was 14 or so, but I only became good enough to really make money from it
after I'd been at art college for three years. You need to be drawing all the time and eventually you'll find a style or a subject that you really enjoy doing and are good enough at.

Maybe you'll become great at architectural drawings or artist's impressions for instance. Or maybe you're on the wrong course. Either way, you need to work at it -
it took me a fair few years to make a decent living from illustration, but I will definitely never earn as much as an architect! Stick with your course and do some bar work
or something to earn some cash. ;)

Would it be ok for you to share some of your work? Only if you're comfortable with it.
