    Hi All,

Need a bit of a hand, I've styled the MaxiMenu in Joomla using CSS but there is a z-index issue.

If you hover over "Webcams + Forecasts" you'll see that the dropdown falls behind the second menu. Anyone fancy lending a helping hand? I can't for the life of me get it to sit above!

    Thanks to all...

Seems ok in Firefox and Netscape Navigator. :)

It looks ok to me too in IE 8 and in Chrome, but maybe it looks different from what you are planning.

What do you need the z index exaclty for? Is there a non-frame scroll window that doesn't scroll, as an example, somewhere in the page? Or something similar?

It looks fine here, but z-index only works if your element has a set position (relative, absolute, fixed)

It was used in Design Dictionary to create a scroll window when needed (as the length of each article was different); it was hard work especially when it came to cross-browser compatibility.
