Web Design Related Blogging

Over the past few years I have gained quite a bit of knowledge in web design and development and I'd like to start passing on my knowledge through the use of blogging but I have often wondered where the best place to start a blog was. I know that there are the obvious ones like Blogger, Wordpress, Tumblr, etc, etc, but I would like to really find out where is best to post my writings. If any of you have blogs or post to any websites I'd love to know what you'd suggest

I personally use blogger but word on the street says that wordpress is far more powerful and the add ons and customisability options are endless.
