Social Media templates

When a client wants you to design 'social media templates' for them as part of their branding, what do you think they are expecting? I've done FB and Linkedin headers and stuff before but not sure about the format that they need for Instagram. Do you supply branded backgrounds they can put into Canva? Or put it all together in Canva for them with fonts suggestions. Is Canva even the right thing to suggest? Also how many would you offer as a 'batch'?

I'd just ask the client what they're after for the 'social media templates'....

Then I would design accordingly using the software I already have without the need for an 'online service'. I see absolutely zero reason to use canva in all honesty.

Came across this site before it's handy for resizing images for different uses.

Basically just takes your image and crops it for different social media. Time saver really.

Then apply the content/layout and theme to the background image.

Thanks for sharing that! Looks like a great tool.

I wonder if they are asking for wireframes (Prototypes) for which I would construct it using Adobe XD, where the layout is designed and functioning links applied, rather than the artwork? You then would use Illustrator or Photoshop to overlay the images on the wireframe.
