Professional Fonts ?

    Sorry if I've put this in the wrong forum because I'm new ( joined yesterday ) - can someone tell me a couple of proffesional looking fonts - like the windows font - that sort of thing - please help

    I'm new so Im not as familier with all the designing stuff - basicly I want some good clear smooth fonts that can be used for logos ?

    Welcome, you're right it's probably better suited to the typographic section.

    You might want to check out some of the posts listed here:

    Forgive me if I'm wrong, I mean no offence, but you might want to look into the basics of typographic as well, not just the fonts themselves. There's many resources online, as well as some brilliant books out there.

    the technique of arranging, creating and working with type. From creating a font to how you use it, leading, spacing, kerning, etc etc etc. It's a large subject area but one of the basic things all designs and those on the path to being a designer need to know.
