Opinions please...

I find it odd that he requested it to be changed to be more legible as it had the word "SITCH" underneath it anyway. If he is going to use it on it's own then it makes more sense, if it isn't going to be, I feel it's an unnecessary request.
 
I think you're blue/white versions would be the one to go with. It's the most visually engaging version (for me). I've never been a fan of gradients an filters and, if i can get away with it - which is more often than you might think (and don't say 'are rarely as that!') - never do.

I agree with using a lighter weight font, however.
 
Hey mate,

Im a fan of the blue/white logo that you originally had. gr8 job. I think you need to sell the orginal design not a fan of the new design to the client.
 
Not sure if it's just me but i'd slightly open the space between the letters as when it's printed small it could fill in, and i'd make the I slightly thinner and T slightly wider (only my opinion). Other than that I think it's excellent!!
