Opinion on designing a logo for my non-profit!

Hello,

My name is Mary Geyer and I run a non-profit that strives to help make chemotherapy patients more comfortable during their fight with cancer. My late grandmother (Mary Ellen Geyer) and her husband (Roger Geyer) died incredibly young from rare cancers. Now, the foundation the Mary Ellen Geyer Foundation has been started. I would love someone's advice/opinion on where to get a logo designed. I want something that doesn't make cancer the focus of the logo, and is very modern, sleek looking. Thoughts?
