Needing feedback from professional designers about work

Hi,

I'm interested in getting into design, but I'm not a very organized or detail oriented person by nature. Would you say that these could be learned skills that I could acquire or me having opposite tendencies when it comes to these two things puts me too much at a disadvantage?

If I could learn to be this type of person, what's the best way to do it?

I know lots of disorganised designers! As for detail orientated, perhaps artwork wouldn't be a good area to get into but if you are creative, are good at ideas generation then don't let the other things stand in your way!

I am disorganised beyond belief.
When I had a desk it was always a mess but I could put my hand on anything.

On the other hand, I'm totally anal about my artwork.
