    Anyone seen this before?

It's basically an online game that helps you practice your kerning by giving you a score out of 100 for your letter-spacing compared to the samples.

    It's incredibly addictive.

    Kern Type, the kerning game

It is a pretty good exercise. Not quite happy with my score yet, must try again when I have time.

Yeah, I look at the results and wonder "How was I that far off???"

Interesting idea but their kerning solutions are not so good. Mine was much better. For example on the second screen with word "WAVE" their solution have too much space between "V" and "E".
  5. 64 out of 100 ... LOL

Do you think kerning is slightly subjective?

Awesome site! 94 for me, then I did it again and scored 92. I think I was trying too hard the second time instead of going with my gut. haha

In the old days we had to kern by slotting various thicknesses of spacing in between letters of metal (or wood) display type - take a print of it - then adjust spacing until it looked right - what a pain.
