Illustrator question

Hello Good Folks,

if I have text in illustrator which I've converted to outline (1), then used the warp tool to shape each letter (2). When it's shaped it still retains it's original vector outline (3).

Is there an easier way to outline the new shape rather than rasterising and tracing the shape?

Thanks

Tom

Yup, it's an easy one.

Select the text, click Object > Expand Appearance. Then the vector outline will become the warped shape.

When doing this it's useful to copy the base shape before expanding in case things don't work out, you have the base object to try again.

Hope this helps.
