How are these created?

    I'd they're gifs then that's how they are they are thousands of frames. There's so many programmes out there that can spot out animated gifs. Unfortunately.

    Most likely animated in After Effects then just exported to a GIF. I see it quite often.

    The metadata says otherwise though CreatorTool="Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 Macintosh

    and the second one "Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 (Macintosh)

    It has got tweening options

    Build Animated GIFs in Photoshop.

    Tweening or no tweening I wouldn't want to tackle that in Photoshop. ;)

    I reckon it's after effects personally... possibly taken into PS afterwards for final colour adjustments before running out again (hence the PS metadata)?

    Are there any good AE tutorials out there for creating very simple vector based 2D animations of icons and typography?
