Help with choosing a printer...

Hey everyone!!
Just joined the group and wondering if any of you could help. I have been designing different invitations for the last few years (wedding, christening, birthday, etc) and I am wanting to start a mini business. More for the fact that once I am designing them I have to send them to the printers which is getting costly. Think I would be better investing in a printer and doing it myself.. So my question is could anyone recommend a good printer to purchase? Preferably around £300ish, that prints on reasonably thick card and if possible to A3.

How would that save you money?

You are sending to the printers, who are probably marking up by 100%, you mark up by 100% selling on to the customer.

By the time you invest in a printer, guillotine, folding machine, and learn how to use them all, you'll still need to add 200% markup to every job to cover your costs.

Just not worth it with the cost of ink alone. Speak to your printer (or many) and see if they have a reseller or trade discount.
