Hi Guys,

I was wondering how people charge per the hour for a logo. For instance when you quote the job, do you say something like, "For 3 concepts it will take 15 hours x hourly rate and if you want to change the design it will cost extra" or do you guys include the changes to the concepts in the quote? obviously this is just an example.

I just dont know whether to include the changes or charge on top.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I think a common way is to charge your hourly rate but to include a couple of amendments in your price i.e. £x with two revisions but, beyond that, anything else at a further rate of £x per hour.

I agree with Dewardp - include for a couple of revisions (NOT re-designs) - I would strongly recommend that you don't quote around an hourly rate - Quote a fixed price (albeit based on your internal hourly rate) with a price per additional revision.
