Google Images gets an overhaul

Yeh, was on the .com for the past week or so...

I'm not a fan, seems cluttered, and the light box style opening isn't what I want when I click on the images, especially as you can't see the image in place on the site while keeping the 'frame' for google images open like on the old style... bing does it much better sigh

I also just noticed it like 15 minutes ago and then I noticed this topic :)
It feels a bit awkward right now with the zoom effect. And the lightbox-esque way of displaying the image on the following page is odd to say the least. You can't view the page without closing the entire framework.

and it takes a while to close for some reason.

Rather than move forward with the times, they've moved sideways. Correct resources, incorrect implementation
