Have you guys seen this: Google Font API - Google Code

Hopefully their work with TypeKit will stop the firefox font flash issue that has plagued these font replacement services previously.

I just wish we could have this service with standardish fonts too, i.e. a standard Myriad, Helvetica, Lucida Grande, Akzidenz Grotesk etc.

Looks good, though all the fonts can just be embedded on your own server and used with standard @font-face, not sure if font-face font's cache though, so this would be a benefit I suppose

No idea what the firefox font flash issue was but nevermind :)

Well as helvetica looks pants on windows, lucida grande is on most macs (?) and akzidenz, myriad and helvetica cost money I'm not sure what benefit this would have :)

That's my point, it would be nice to have a wider range of standard fonts that could be used and relied upon for all browsers/platforms. Obviously there is the whole anti-alias problems with PCs to contend with too.

    It's all good stuff though.
