duplicate joomla website

Hi,

Can anyone give me a hand with duplicating a joomla website?

After some research I was sure it was as easy as backing up the mysql database, backup all ftp files, uploading the files to my new server, importing the database then adjusting the configuration file accordingly but it aint working/Im getting stuck!

If you want some help with this you will need to be more specific as to your problem. I have transfered sites a couple of times so i have experience in this.
