    Hello :)

So my friend has started a printing business. He has said that he has a few clients who want design. They cannot provide this so he has said he will point the clients in my direction, as long as he gets the printing work. Great! But I am guessing I will need to give him a cut of what I charge the client, because they came to me through him? Is there an industry standard? I don't want to make it not worthwhile for myself but also I don't want him to think I'm being stingy....

Anyone with experience or knowledge of this?

    Thanks :)

You mean like a referral fee?

If you're sending the printing to him and the client is paying him for printing, I think you're fine. He's sending work your way and you're sending work back to him, I would call that fair.
