I need a hand with a print job. I have a client in the USA who saw a job I printed here in Australia and wants the same. I am coordinating with a printer in NYC and when I gave him the print specs he asked if I could convert it. I have tried looking it up online but am even more confuse. An anyone help me convert the specs below into American...Specifically the Stock weights and the standard sizing (this is Based on A5 which is a standard is in AUS)

    SIZE: A5 Notebook 50 sheets - 148mm x 210mm
STOCK: 300gsm Cover with Matt Lamination, Text Inside 50 sheets B/W A5
    2 sided 100gsm bond
PRINT: Cover CMYK 1 sided & Text B&W 2 sided
FINISHING: Matt Lamination on outside of cover. Perfect Binding and 2
round corners on opening side of notebook

@bonsdes I may be wrong but it is not that simple as I think it is not a straight calculation. for example they have 4olb cover stock and 40lb text.

I really need someone that is familiar with ordering print in both markets

Boss Hog is probably your man on this one. He's owns a litho printing operation here in the UK so will likely know the conversions. Either wait for him to spot this and comment or send him a private message.
