    If you're doing it in AI, just create a suitable brush or download some then create a path that follows the flow of the lettering

    in photoshop it would just be a case of creating layer with text on it. After that it's just finding the right brush and then creating a new layer for adding the brush strokes (using a wacom tablet or similar will make it easier)

    hey scotty and Levi, thanks for the help. this might be a little too much to ask, but i've looked everywhere for the perfect brush but can't seem to find the one I want. does anyone know where I might get the suitable brush? thanks again :lol:

    If you have a brush pen, make some strokes that would fit your lettering on paper, scan in and then place them over the lettering.

    Like Shaunlynn says.
    You could then do an image trace then turn it into a custom brush and job's a good un.

    @shaunlynn & scotty:
    That sounds like a good idea I'd probably give a try. Thank you! :friday:
