Best wordpress book for novice

Looking to learn how to use wordpress form scratch to create simple websites with blogs etc.

Can anyone recommend a good book that takes you through the basics (never used it before) and shows how to set up a site and utilise different templates etc.

Any recommendations appreciated
 
Google it before you spend any money. Wordpress is on open source platform, so there are mountains of sites dedicated to it. There are a few different approaches to what you can do with it, depending on whether you are building a .com blog or using it as a CMS. As a blog, it is straightforward HTML and CSS editting within there frame work. As a CMS, it is a lot more complicated and I would say there are better CMS platforms out there.
 
there are 1000's and 1000's of websites devoted to making wordpress sites... do the google thing like above. Don't waste your time with buying a wordpress book.
 
Wordpress is a real easy platform to work with. There are a lot of dedicated online tutorials. I would agree with googling like they have stated above.
